ART THERAPY FOR ANXIETY

Group Therapy for Children With Anxiety (8-13 years):

Based on art therapy techniques, these small group sessions are designed using a combination of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Strength Based Therapy, Neuroscience and Psychoeducation. Combining both art and games, children learn the knowledge and skills to manage and reduce their anxiety in a fun environment. Children will build a toolbox of strategies to help them cope with situations that may cause them anxiety. The sessions use breathing, mindfulness, and grounding techniques to help them embed methods that will encourage them to have a more balanced nervous system.

Please note, arrangements can be made for the group program to be run within schools, pending permission.

Group Therapy for Children With Anxiety (14-17 years):

These small group sessions are based on art therapy techniques and are designed using a combination of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Strength Based Therapy, Neuroscience and Psychoeducation. Art therapy will encourage young people to calm their minds to focus on processing emotions and thoughts effectively. Group therapy provides an opportunity for dialogue that will support young people's understanding that they are not alone and will help build their strengths and skills to cope with anxiety.

Please note, arrangements can be made for the group program to be run within schools, pending permission.
